Does your group need a speaker?

If your group is looking for a speaker to present a program on
efficiency or renewable energy, contact the IREA at sonia@essex1.com.  
Cost includes expenses plus a donation to the IREA.

Concerned about heating bills?   Thinking of building or remodeling?  Installing a PV system for home use?   These classes could be for you!

Small Wind Class
Saturday, May 3, 2008, 10 am - 3 pm
1230 E. Honey Creek Rd., Oregon, IL

This class will be lead by a professional installer of solar and wind systems.

     *  Tour grid-connectd one kilowatt home use wind system
     *  Hands-on experience with wind system (weather permitting)
     *  Lecture and discussion; handouts

Suggested contribution:
     *  $60 non IREA members (includes membership)
     *  $40 IREA members

Hands-On PV Class
Saturday, May 24, 2008, 10 am - 3 pm
1230 E. Honey Creek Rd.
, Oregon, IL

This class will be lead by a professional installer of solar and wind systems.

     *  Actual hands-on work with solar panels designed for a home installation
     *  Assemble the entire installation
     *  Ready for use at the end of the day

Suggested contribution:
     *  $60 non IREA members (includes membership);
     *  $35 members

Rain Gardens for your home site

     *  Learn the basic techniques for making a rain garden
     *  Learn how to design a rain garden for your own site
     *  Hands on experience actually planting a rain garden
     *  Handouts
     *  Seeds
